Meet Dr. Kristoffer Norbo, DDS
Kristoffer Norbo, DDS, MSD has brought the highest standards and practices in pediatric dentistry and oral health to the New Orleans area. Dr. Kris obtained his BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry from Hampden-Sydney College in Farmville, Virginia. It was during his undergraduate tenure that he would gain his first experience in patient treatment as an EMT with the local fire and EMS department.
After college, Dr. Kris attended the VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During his fourth and final year, Dr. Kris was fortunate to match as his number one choice for residency at LSU’s Pediatric Dentistry program in New Orleans. It is here at LSU that he obtained two additional achievements: his certificate of specialty in Pediatric Dentistry and Masters in Science of Dentistry (MSD). Furthermore, Dr. Kris then successfully passed both a written examination and oral examination administered by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), a feat achieved by only a small percentage of pediatric dentists nationwide.
While attending residency in New Orleans, Dr. Kris met his now-wife, Dr. Ashley White. After graduation, Drs. Kris and Ashley moved back to Dr. Kris’s home state of Virginia. After several years of private practice in Virginia, they decided to move back to New Orleans and establish roots. Once back, Dr. Kris quickly realized that there was much more to be offered to the New Orleans patient base and decided to open NOLA Pediatric Dentistry in February of 2021.
When Dr. Kris is not at NOLA Pediatric Dentistry, he will continue to be an associate professor at LSU School of Dentistry’s Pediatric Department. His office offers nitrous oxide sedation, oral conscious sedation, and even IV sedation with a pediatric anesthesiologist. For patients with special needs and those needing full mouth dental rehabilitation, Dr. Kris has privileges at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans where he can complete all of their treatment in the safest of settings under general anesthesia.
To ensure his patients are receiving the highest possible care, Dr. Kris has also obtained a license in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). He also spends time regularly volunteering with the Special Olympics and Mission of Mercy (MOM) dental projects.
Dr. Kris brings honesty and professionalism to your family while still maintaining an approachable and fun nature. He actively works to better his local New Orleans community and is a staunch advocate of local culture and sports.
When not practicing pediatric dentistry, Dr. Kris and his wife Ashley enjoy spending time trying new restaurants, running, playing golf and tennis, and riding bikes. They have two dogs named Gracie and Honey, and in December of 2021, they welcomed a beautiful girl Adrienne into the world.
